"Cheap Wine and Poetry," Seattle's biggest, coolest, hippest reading series, occurs semi-regularly at Richard Hugo House, a co-sponsor of the series, and occasionally at other venues throughout Seattle and elsewhere. The series began in 2005 when a few writers and poetry lovers decided to start something fun that everyone could enjoy.

"Cheap Wine and Poetry" wraps up 2008 with a special post-election extravaganza on Thursday, November 6, 7 p.m. at Richard Hugo House with slam master Daemond Arrindell, performer Marya Sea Kaminski, funny lady Cienna Madrid and series curator Brian McGuigan. In the meantime, vote Elizabeth Austen for Seattle Poet Populist!
